SYNTHETIC SAKURA is an innovative NFT project created using the most advanced and renowned artificial intelligence. The project’s creators aim to pioneer the world’s first creative presentation of AI’s generative capabilities through the lens of an NFT project, showcasing the technology and tools of image generation. A key aspect of the project is the AI’s ability to generate images of non-sexualized nudity, inspired by the natural forms observed in certain indigenous cultures. Each image in the collection is unique and cannot be recreated, even with the same generative tool, due to the evolution of the AI model over time. Each artwork is part of a broader structure—a digital “family” consisting of stylistic branches, storylines, and artistic micro-series. This creates an additional layer of meaning: the NFT owner becomes not just the holder of a unique token but also a participant in a complex collecting system. Within the collection, there are stylistically and conceptually related groups of tokens. Some images are united by a common aesthetic, theme, or narrative line—these are, in a sense, the “branches” of the collection. However, the token holder receives this information through an unlockable content mechanism, including a direct link to the original AI generation session, the exact prompt used, and the original image with a SHA-256 hash that matches the artwork in the collection. This ensures full provenance verification and transparency for the NFT owner. This collection is intended for mature audiences (18+) due to the presence of nudity and symbolic human forms. History of creation

While researching the cutting-edge capabilities of an AI image generator, we stumbled upon something incredible! The treasure was hidden in plain sight. The AI perceived beauty in its raw, unfiltered form—the beauty of Botswana’s indigenous peoples, for whom nudity is a natural and harmonious state. Later, with the emergence of a new AI model, this vision shifted, but there was a fleeting moment when the impossible became possible. Our collection is the result of that brief window of time, while the magic still lingered, allowing us to create these unique images for you! After scouring the internet to see if anyone else had discovered this phenomenon, we found no one had. We were the only ones who noticed it. From that moment, we decided to create an NFT collection, as we held something truly unique.
We chose Japanese anime as the stylistic direction, and while the collection is primarily in this genre, it also includes other animation styles. This resulted in a vibrant array of colors, giving our collection its signature look. The AI helped us diversify the narratives, reminding us to touch on important and popular genres, while the other branches of the collection are purely the fruit of our imagination. Overall, the number of NFTs and their branches directly reflects the effort and time invested by the creators. Six months passed from the discovery of this artifact to the AI model’s update, with each day spent working full-time, creating one image after another, experimenting, and developing new branches. Nearly every branch includes a small portion of nude characters, which directly reflects the complexity of generating such images from the overall process—they are highly valuable. We’ll dive deeper into this later. You can explore how we achieved specific results by analyzing our prompts. The collection contains secrets that only NFT owners can fully unlock, such as how we managed to completely nude characters or give them very voluptuous forms.

When exploring the branches of the collection or the entire NFT collage, always remember: this was created by a MACHINE. On the surface, you’ll see the thrilling adventures of our heroine, but under the hood lies promt engineering — the beating heart of the collection. That’s where the secrets are kept, revealing how it all came together and what makes each image’s unique traits so vibrant. By owning a SAKURA flower, you can peek under the hood and witness how the magic is crafted. At the time of this collection’s creation, AI couldn’t churn out identical images with varied details, so we built a hybrid PFP NFT system in the form of a tree. Each branch represents a distinct trait, grouping similar images based on one or more related prompts. This approach unlocked a wide range of genres and tapped into the full potential of the image generator. Each branch in the collection is driven by one or more prompts using very simple language commands, resulting in images that are similar yet subtly different, with nuanced variations. These variations are the charm of AI — pay attention to them! They create intricate details, unexpected twists, and artifacts that transcend the linguistic constraints of the prompt. Take your time with each image in a branch, study it closely, and everything will unfold naturally. Attention to detail is the key to unlocking the magic!

Collection structure and rarity

The collection is a tapestry of stories, branches of a sakura tree, each essentially a mini-collection within the larger tree. Think of them as classic traits in PFP collections. The branches vary in size—some are long or medium, others short. But size doesn’t determine rarity, though in special cases it might. Sometimes we poured effort into a single branch, while in others, we produced just a few images and stopped there. Each branch, its traits, creation complexity, and artifacts will be detailed in our Discord.
We avoided subjective labels like “rare” or “common” on tokens, leaving that to collectors’ discretion. However, there are objective guidelines: the collection splits into nude and non-nude NFTs, with nude ones inherently rarer and non-nude ones complementing the branch. The number of tokens in each branch directly reflects the number of AI-generated image requests, with the ratio of nude to non-nude characters clearly showcasing the difficulty of obtaining a rare nude token—a challenge that becomes especially evident in larger branches. By examining the ratio of nude to non-nude characters in larger branches, you can gauge the complexity of creating such images—on average, nude characters make up only a small fraction, up to 10% or even less. Rarity is also shaped by the creation difficulty of a specific branch or the presence of unique artifacts. We’ll share more details on this later. But back to the branches: collectors aim to snag the rarest tokens in the collection, or better yet, acquire an entire branch to complete a set. For smaller branches, this is straightforward, but for larger ones, it’s a true challenge for any collector! Good luck!

About Promts

The goal of the prompt is to give the AI maximum creative freedom. Prompts are minimalist: for example, a forest background comes from a simple phrase like “draw a forest in the background” without specific or detailed descriptions. This unleashes the AI’s creative potential. Each NFT is a product of the AI’s imagination, constrained only by basic guidelines. The collection is built on just a few core prompts, refined and expanded with details like changing backgrounds, character poses, and other elements. This gave rise to new branches of images that echo the traits of their predecessors. The entire collection is woven from this metamorphosis, and to emphasize it, certain details—like the character’s pink eyes—were deliberately kept consistent in style. As you explore the collection, you’ll sense a transformation, as if a ghostly presence lingers. We also tasked the AI with combining multiple prompts into one, specifying the percentage weight of each prompt in the new merged image. This led to the creation of several unique branches in our collection. Any deviation from the base concept—whether it’s the character’s pose, style, or even the presence of accessories—impacted the complexity of the results. In some cases, we couldn’t achieve the desired outcome. Thus, certain images, or even entire branches, may seem unremarkable but were challenging to create. Behind the details and traits of these NFTs lie specific text phrases in the prompt. We’ll share information about all such tokens in our Discord, and owners of these NFTs will be able to uncover a secret trick via a hidden link to the source.

No, we’re talking about truly strange things, like mysterious phantom characters not mentioned in the prompt, or our heroine depicted as various animals (yes, that actually happened, and the reason remains a mystery!). Moreover, after generating these images, the AI always provides a description—and in it, it describes them as images of women. Even apparent flaws, such as unevenly rendered fingers, blurred outlines, erroneously drawn extra limbs, and anomalies, are not defects but defining characteristics, a hallmark of our collection and the previous image generation model.
